We firmly believe that we are called to impact the world locally and internationally. In Stanly County, we partner with existing organizations like Stanly County Christian Ministries, West Stanly Christian Ministries, Stanly County Senior Services, and the Senior Nutrition Program to identify widows with practical, physical needs.
- We meet physical needs by connecting widows with local churches and families of believers to complete tasks like yard work, small home repair, and grocery delivery from nearby food pantries. You can join our volunteer team on Facebook to hear about local opportunities to serve widows!
- We also host two monthly brunches for a group of widows called "Women of Purpose". These foster a supportive and encouraging environment where widows can feel safe and seen as they walk through their journeys of grief and loss.
- F.A.M. also provides opportunities for widows to connect by hosting quarterly group outings. We've enjoyed going to the Billy Graham Library, as well as local craft shows and events.
Here's what a local widow in Stanly County had to say about Faith Alive Ministries:
"I enjoyed meeting the young people and the father who put down my mulch today. They are great kids and I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I was for the help. It's so frustrating to be limited in what we can do as we age. I would never have been able to do that but they did it in under an hour!! Thank you again greatly for arranging the assistance" (2024).
