While we may not have "orphans" in Stanly County in the same sense that other countries do, we recognize that there are children who are vulnerable in our very own community. We strive to meet needs locally several ways:
- We have partnered with local school systems to make resources available for children who may be at risk of going into the foster-care system due to lacking basic needs. We regularly hold supply drives to meet physical needs.
- We also support families and children who are already in the foster-care system by providing a faith-based community of love and encouragement - we do this quarterly through our Fostering Connections events.
- We offer FREE meals to families who take in a new foster/adoptive placement. Apply for your own family or nominate a family by filling out our Google Form.
- We train volunteers who are willing to spend time with children in foster care who are temporarily staying at Stanly County D.S.S. offices and awaiting permanent placement. To learn more about joining our team of volunteers, email us at faithaliveministries217@gmail.com.
